Skills 4 You offer an open door policy for adults who have never worked, who have been out of work for some time, who are socially isolated or suffer from a health or mental health issue.
Their training course is designed around the individual according to their own particular needs. Alongside the practical skills training, they offer mentoring, support for preparing CVs, interview techniques and certificated online courses covering health & safety and first aid for example.
Other help they give includes help with transport costs and the purchase of things such as personal protective equipment or uniforms for people about to start work.
Home to Work is a registered charity and it hosts the Skills 4 You project. They offer a safe, relaxed environment for individuals to learn woodwork, upcycling or personal development. They also offer food and nutrition training and training on our allotment.
