Helping Hands Volunteering Opportunities

Maryport Arts and literature Festival: Life! on the Edge – 2024, Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd March, need stewards for both morning and afternoon slots over the three days at Senhouse Roman Museum in Maryport. An opportunity to be involved in volunteering without a long-term commitment. The festival includes creative writing and art and craft workshops, where anyone is welcome to create, amazing performances, discussions, and ‘meet the author’ events. Anyone interested in volunteering for just one session or over several is more than welcome.

For those interested in introducing a new generation into their local history and heritage Kendal Museum needs an education volunteer to assist with school and college visits. As this would be during the school hours it might suit someone with children themselves but who would like to get involved in volunteering.

With a new season on the doorstep, Carlisle Castle is looking for new Visitor Volunteers to offer a warm welcome and share information about the castle, its history and any events taking place. It’s all about being a friendly face and being happy to help the visitors Full support, induction and training from English Heritage is given as well as other benefits.

As ever for more information please get in touch via : helpinghands@tulliehouse.org or Call, WhatsApp or Text Helping Hands on 07442 972 270.
